Now that’s sweet…did he love your letter?

In celebration of the worldwide day to honor Love.
Happy Valentine’s Day, Nancy! I have always loved “mon petit chou”. And I didn’t know about many from your list – mon canard and mon poulet are great. And I’ve always wondered – Do the French celebrate Valentine’s Day?
Not so much. Nothing like in the States. It’s not at all a commercialized holiday, which is nice.
love the macaron pic!
Happy Valentine’s Day
do they celebrate in the City of Light and Love like the states?
Valentine’s Day is not a commercial holiday like in the US. I saw a few French men buying flowers. It is a huge day for tourists in Paris–aiming to have the most romantic and memorable VD ever.
Oh my two favorites are not yet on your list : ma puce – my little “flee” and loulou- is this short form of petit loup- small wolf ?? , but meaning darling. My dog is called loulou when meeting people on the street but my french friend uses it for her kids as well.
I have the cutest maman ever
Awwww…that’s so sweet coming from the cutest little Button EVER.
My French husband calls me “ma puce” and “mon coeur” – charming!
oh, “my flea”…fleas must have a better reputation in France than the US?
I suppose 🙂 – there are many terms of endearment in the French language.
