Frank Sinatra’s: My Way Stolen from the French

Frank Sinatra’s legendary “My Way”, one of the most played song in the world, is an adaptation of a French song “Comme d’habitude” (As usual) written by Claude François, a French idol in the 1960s and 1970s who ironically spent most of his career adapting English hits for the French market.

The French lyrics are completely different to the English ones. They tell the story of a man going through a break-up. Here’s a sing-along version by Mireille Mathieu. (Thanks to: frenchforfun.net)
