Hi there! I’m a new follower. This entry spoke to me because of a trip I took a few months ago. We were on a guided tour around the Loire Valley and our guide mentioned the concept of toiture or “roof”iture. It basically means that you can see the character of a town just by looking at its rooftops. This entry contains beautiful pictures that speak to just that!
Hi there. Thank you for your comment and for following…I very much appreciate it.
I agree totally with your guide. You can definitely tell which part of France you are in by looking at the rooftops. All of these photos are very definitely Paris rooftops. Et j’adore! I’m collecting photos of different regions of France for a later post.
I love these photos. One of my favorite memories from our last trip to France was from Nimes. We were staying in a hotel in the heart of the oldest part of the city, and our room had a balcony that looked out on the rooftops of Nimes. One evening we bought some bread, cheese, and wine, and had dinner out on the balcony in the company of these ancient roofs. It was a beautiful and mesmerizing evening.
Paris has the best rooves/roofs (???) .. 😉
They are gorgeous. You just have to remember to look up.

Love it. What a wonderful evening. Mesmerizing is a great choice of words for describing beautiful rooftops.
