Citron Pressé and a Colorado Day
Oh, the weather gods are making it even harder for me to leave Paris and head back to Colorado in a few short days. If there is one thing that Colorado will always win out in over Paris, it is the weather. There is no contest. The weather in Colorado is fantastic. Three hundred days of sunshine a year is pretty hard to beat.
On the other hand Paris in February averages 2 hours and 54 minutes of sunshine a day, in March it jumps to a little over 5 hours per day (which also happens to be the annual average for daily sunshine in Paris—given that November, December and January each average less than 2 hours of sunshine a day).
But the last few days in Paris have been crisp and blue and beaming with sun. It is Paris at its Colorado best.
I probably jumped the gun today. But it was so warm and sunny and bright. I temporarily took a break from the difficult work of trying to find the city’s best hot chocolate (stay tuned), to instead sun myself at a café and indulge in a citron pressé.
C’est parfait!
Good for you!! Enjoy that sunny drink in sunny Paris!! 😊
I can’t resist a sunny day. All I want to do is play.
I’ve very much enjoyed your all too brief return to Paris and now all have to look forward to your return and bicycling adventures in the summer.
Mrs Sixwheeler and I are off to India tomorrow for a couple of weeks but will keep a look out for any posts from you. I shall, of course, be blogging while we are away.
Bon voyage Nancy, look after yourself.

Ah, have a wonderful time in India. I would love to make it there someday. I’ve still got a few French posts in me from this sojourn and then plan to try to find the French in Golden when I return. I will look forward to your posts from India. Travel safely.
Gosh what a vivid blue sky! Will be arriving in the UK in less than 3 weeks – my daughter tells me London is “quite warm”!
We’ve had quite a good run of weather while I have been in Paris. have a great time in London. It will be here before you know.
Oh, I am so jealous. It is sunny today in Montreal but snow is still high on the street though slowly melting right now! I do miss Paris a lot. Enjoy your final days in the city (Suzanne)
Thank you. A lot of good opportunities have arisen on this trip, and I am feeling very good about keeping up my connection to Paris. I hope that your reverse culture shock in Montreal is getting better and you are settling in. It is never easy going back.
